What’s next for Call of the Wild? It’s for sale, and I’m looking for that special person to pass it along to. I’d like to find someone with business savvy who wants to continue our tradition of all-women’s trips; someone who can think beyond the formulaic trips many of the larger companies are offering these days; someone who is ready to take Call of the Wild in her own creative direction. The potential is limitless for someone with the initiative to nurture Call of the Wild and help it grow.

The cost of the business is negotiable and depends upon how the sale is packaged. Options include my consultant services for a pre-determined length of time to ease the transition and whether or not equipment is included in the sale price and so on. Following are some factors which should be considered in the sale package:

  • Established trademarked name “Call of the Wild”
  • A finely targeted mailing list and database of approximately 4000 names and addresses
  • 30 years of good will; an excellent safety record and a solid reputation in the adventure travel industry
  • Transferable and highly advantageous Commercial Operating Permits
  • Experienced staff of trained guides and office personnel
  • A professionally designed, optimized, fully functional website
  • Extensive Map Collection, Reference Materials & Books Library
  • Business Machines including computers, software, office furniture, etc.
  • Tents, stoves, and other equipment for wilderness trips
  • Carole Latimer’s consulting services for a length of time to be determined
  • Serious inquiries should contact me (Carole Latimer), phone 510-849-9292, or e-mail trips@callwild.com and we can chat.
