You want to see and experience the wilderness but you don't want to carry a backpack? Then you should consider our Hiking Light trips.

On these trips you hike only with a light daypack containing your lunch, water, and raingear. Your other gear goes ahead of you each day—by boat, pack animals, or other means—and is waiting for you at camp after your day of hiking.

Our Hiking Light trips range from Easy to Challenging. Most people can do these trips as long as they have done a reasonable amount of conditioning before the trip.

Hiking Light trips are among our most popular trips, as people feel they can just relax and enjoy a good hike and beautiful scenery, without worrying about the rigors of backpacking. Some trips take place out of a basecamp where you may have running water (showers!) and other modern conveniences. On a few trips you'll stay in comfortable lodging with no camping.

If you love spending time in the wilderness, but you want some comfort too, then Hiking Light trips may be just the thing for you.
