Our activities are designed for outdoor lovers of all ages
and different fitness levels. It's your vacationyou choose what
you want to do.
Our trips range from challenging backpacking
trips and mountain climbing to moderate or easy hiking
trips where you carry only a light daypack. You may camp outdoors
under the stars, or stay in comfortable lodgings.
On some of our trips, hikers can turn in their boots
for paddles. After a few days of hiking, you can go kayaking in
Baja, Kauai,
New Zealand,
or go river rafting in the Southwest.

If you love winter sports, we offer cross-country
skiing and snowshoeing in the High Sierra. People of all levels
of ability are welcome. If you've never done cross-country skiing
or snowshoeing before, try it, we'll teach you.
For those who already have advanced outdoor skillsor
who aspire to learn morethere is the Women
& Wilderness Leadership Course taught by Carole Latimer
and Leslie Appling. Both women have been inducted into the Calfornia
Outdoors Hall of Fame. Learn how to thrive in the wilderness.

If you haven't
done much camping or hiking before (or even if you have), you can
take a Pre-Trip Class to learn the
fundamentals of wilderness skills. You'll find out what clothes are
best to bring, how to camp safely, and how to travel in the wilderness
without harming it.
You can also organize a group of friends and family
for a private trip. Celebrate a
special birthday or anniversary with a memorable traveling experience.
